How can design create a more inclusive society?
I was so proud to be part of the exhibition “Every Body” at the IKEA MUSEUM in Sweden that was all about inclusive design and accessibility!
The exhibition ran from Novemeber 2019 to February 2020 and invited visitors to challenge their senses and showcased stories about what it’s like to live with variable ability.
My contribution to the exhibition was to examine invisible design conventions and to remind the importance of our relationship with the things we use every day and to question the conventions that shape our understanding of how those things should look and function.
Smart design is born when we see the world through the eyes of others.
